Railway infrastructure

On September 22, 2013, a ceremonial opening took place in the port of Rajin after the reconstruction of the Hasan (RF) -Rajin (DPRK) railway section.

Within the framework of the project, 54 kilometers of a combined railway track with a gauge of 1,435 and 1,520 mm were reconstructed, artificial structures were restored - 18 bridges, 12 culverts and three tunnels with a total length of over 4.5 km. In addition, installed modern equipment alarm, centralization, blocking and communication.

Project Component includes:

  • Single-track railway branch on the territory of the DPRK from Art. Tumangan to st. Rajin is about 54 km long.

The movement of diesel trains. The infrastructure provides the project throughput capacity of the branch of about 12 pairs of trains per day, which for coal will be approximately 7.0-8.0 million tons per year.

  • Access roads with a length of 0.5 km and 2 unloading tracks of the terminal (railway cargo front (ZHF) terminal) with a length of about 500 meters each, located in the rear part of the territory.

The length of the tracks allows processing 72 gondola cars with coal at a time.
